The red wine Baffonero Maremma Toscana DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Rocca di Frassinello has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
A bright, rich ruby colour with a garnet rim. Pronounced savoury notes on the nose, coriander seeds, peppercorns and bay leaf, rich blackberry notes. Compact and dense on the palate, precise tannins, savoury, fine mint notes, some wood on the finish, still needs time.
