Intense colour. Distinct new wood. Sour cherry. Buttery notes. Herbal bitterness. A dense tannin load on the palate, sandy, ripe tannin, fine astringency (also some wood tannins), ripe acidity, good palate fruit, a compact, powerful Spätburgunder.
