The red wine Villa Gresti, vintage 2001 from the winery San Leonardo has been rated in 2007 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Carmenère from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby; clear and intense nose with beautifully ripe notes of cherries, underlaid by fine cloves, a little ginger; velvety tannin on the palate, develops beautifully, with lots of ripe fruit, subtle notes of fine chocolate on the finish, persistent.
