The red wine Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Schmidt am Bodensee has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Württemberg in Germany.
Complex, elderberry, almond, red and black currant, fresh plum, herbal savoury notes. On the palate of high density, powerful and compact, it generates quite a drive with very fine tannins, but well integrated, it has supporting acidity and is long lasting, with an alternation of creamy and mineral notes on the finish.
