Juicy and appealing on the palate, showing lots of fresh fruit up front, saline, a bit hard and edgy on the back end, still needs cellaring. Opens with notes of cardamom and tobacco, then lots of plump fruit, finely brought out blackcurrant, some dark cherry, animating. Lots of juicy, ripe berry fruit on the attack, vivid and fresh, opens with lots of pithy, dense tannin, builds richly, very long finish.
