The red wine Spätburgunder Reserve trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Dambach has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, the wine is still strongly yeasty, with some new wood and Burgundy-like sour cherry fruit completing the aroma. On the palate, the fine-grained tannins are strongly coupled with chalky minerality, ripe acidity and juicy palate fruit that give the wine a natural, unforced impression. Unaffected vintage type, very good perspective.
