Tasting Notes
Ripe, candied pineapple, dried mango and roasted hazelnuts dominate the fragrance. Subtle, Burgundian wood impression. Delicate vanilla on the palate, meltingly savoury, characterised by the wood. Juicy acidity makes it appear more delicate than expected. Taut and dense phenolic flavour.
More about the tastingThe "Kirchenstück" reveals its youthful, airy side on the nose. With aromas of blossom, lemon, and most of all, bright apple notes, the depth only emerging later. Subtle traces of development are perceptible on the palate. The wine also brings an energetic chalky mineral note to the fore. Stringent and yet floral, it’s almost reminiscent of Chablis, needing only a little bottle ageing to achieve greatness.
