The red wine Batasarro Rosso Riserva Lamezia IGT 2020, vintage 2019 from the winery Statti has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gaglioppo from the region Calabria in Italy.
Bright ruby red colour with a subtle brightening on the rim. On the nose nuances of light malt, rock candy, ripe raspberries and strawberries, as well as dried citrus, milk chocolate, cherry. On the palate very hearty, with juicy course and crisp tannins, then in the final unfortunately somewhat drying with considerable oak influence.
