The red wine Cauro Rosso Calabria IGT, vintage 2021 from the winery Statti has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Gaglioppo, Magliocco from the region Calabria in Italy.
Radiant ruby red with subtle brightening on the rim. Spicy, meaty nose, minimally animalistic, then citrus, raspberry, cassis, mint and discreet wood. The palate has nice juiciness, clear fruit and well-integrated acidity, currently still very young grippy tannin, still needs to age, medium length.
