The red wine Fuoco, vintage 2019 from the winery Tenuta Castello di Morcote has been rated in 2024 by Dominik Vombach und Benjamin Herzog with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc from the region Canton of Ticino in Switzerland.
This has concentrated aromas on the nose, with notes of preserved plum, cherry and blackcurrant confit, as well as hints of graphite, liquorice, and dark chocolate. It has a juicy acidity on the palate, a beautiful smoothness, fine-grained tannins, and a spicy balsamic finish. It is a powerhouse of a wine.
