Tasting Notes
Powerful, deep ruby colour. A compact nose with intense earthy notes, lots of tobacco, then plenty of blackberry and dark currants and an underlying fine savouriness. Richly textured on the palate, with lots of vivid, dark berry fruit, grippy, dense tannins and a core of finely textured fruit, then a long reverberating finish.
More about the tastingBright garnet, rich. Very spicy, rich nose, slightly animalistic, leathery, tar, in the background wild berries and ripe cherries. On the palate, it's taut and just as spicy, shows character, salty tannins, still young, slight drying on the finish.
