The red wine Rosso di Montalcino DOC, vintage 2022 from the winery Tenuta Il Poggione has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red colour. Somewhat restrained on the nose, reminiscent of dried flowers, cranberry confit and some damp tobacco. Initially grippy on the palate, with noble wood savouriness and rich fruit, then spreads out juicily and shows good flow, accessible and of medium length.
