The red wine Impostino Montecucco Rosso Riserva DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Tenuta l'Impostino has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby red with opaque core. On the nose, initially deep with fine oak and roasted aromas, latte, then peach yogurt, cranberries as well as mint. On the palate ripe fruit, on wild berries, wrapped in gripping, slightly drying tannin. On the finish very ripe, dried fruit flavours.
