Tasting Notes
Still an impressive wine even after more than 30 years: deep garnet colour. Amazingly fresh, vivid cassis fruit and savoury mint notes. Substantial and vivid on the palate, profound, lots of finely-meshed tannins, very long finish.
More about the tastingIdentical in size to the 2014 sample: intense ruby garnet, purple reflections, subtle ochre, watery rim. Ripe dark berryish confit, nuance of cherry, hints of leather and nougat, perfectly matured aromas, herbal savouriness and candied orange zest. Ripe and elegant on the palate, fine fruit expression, round cherry fruit, finely structured, fresh, salty and mineral, delicate orange, incredible length, a wine of inimitable grace.
