The red wine Eisenberg DAC Reserve Ried Königsberg, vintage 2018 from the winery Thom Wachter has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Eisenberg in Austria.
It is a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate ochre rim. There is a black wild berry aroma, with a discreet tobacco background, and dark mineral notes, it is still a little shy. On the palate it has a medium complexity, a black cherry flavour, fine ripe tannins, and it is markedly salty on the finish. It is still underdeveloped, and it will benefit from bottle ageing.
