The red wine Eisenberg DAC Reserve Ried Fasching, vintage 2018 from the winery Thom Wachter has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Eisenberg in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate ochre rim. There is a gentle floral black cherry fruit aroma, as well as fine nuances of blackberry, and a hint of violet blossom. It is full-bodied, with fresh wild berry flavours, fine tannins, a lively structure, it appears light-footed with some minerality, and a lemony saltiness on the finish. It is a versatile wine.
