The red wine Graticciaia IGT, vintage 2012 from the winery Vallone has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Negroamaro from the region Puglia in Italy.
Rich ruby with garnet shimmer. Initially smells of ink and cinchona bark, some capers, then pickled cherries and plums. Lush attack and finish, grippy, hearty tannins, sweet melting, then quite rough on the finish due to the alcohol.
