The red wine Appassimento Salento Rosso IGT, vintage 2019 from the winery Vallone has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Negroamaro from the region Puglia in Italy.
Deep ruby colour with a nose of wild berries, cloves and undergrowth. Good clarity of fruit on the palate which has a grippy tannic texture and a noticeable sweetness which is slightly unbalancing. Also rather drying on the finish.
