The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2013 from the winery Verbena has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a slightly brightening rim. Accentuated woody savouriness on the nose, full of liquorice, rum-steeped fruit and ripe plums. The palate is just as emphatically woody and savoury, albeit balanced, with a certain suppleness and length and a harmonious finish.
