The red wine Poldo Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Villa S. Anna has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 87 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot, Petit Verdot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright garnet with cherry red accents. Initially quite restrained on the nose, then opens up to delicate savoury notes, rosemary and tea leaves, with a hint of damp brick and tar. Builds on the palate with a pithy structure, full-bodied and very drying tannins, ending harshly on bitter almond.
