The red wine Rosso di Montepulciano DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Villa S. Anna has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright garnet with rust-red accents. Somewhat restrained on the nose, notes of rich raspberry and black elderberry, then juniper and dark chocolate, tar in the background. Opens up pleasantly, with interwoven tannins, rich on the palate, fills out the palate nicely, dried fig and plum on the palate, medium length on the finish.
