The red wine Waldulm Pfarrberg Spätburgunder Barrique trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Waldulmer Winzergenossenschaft has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Elderberry and sour cherry, blackcurrant and a hint of oak. Powerful in the mouth, but also silky, with a tannin that gains in graininess on the palate but is completely ripe. Almost a kind of Amarone Burgunder, dense and aromatic, but also with an alcoholic strength that masks the minerality somewhat.
