The red wine Siebeldingen Im Sonnenschein Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Wein- und Sektgut Wilhelmshof has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 - 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The nose is characterised by aromas both ripe and fine: cherry, dark red raspberry, clove, juniper berry and smoke. Good balance on the palate – on the one hand ripe tannin asserts itself but, on the other, lively acidity counters it. An attractive finish with promising ageing potential, and offering much drinking pleasure.
