The red wine Foggathal »No.17«, vintage 2008 from the winery Weinberghof Fritsch has been rated in 2011 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Wagram in Austria.
Deep dark ruby garnet colour, opaque colour core, purple reflections. On the nose, notes of plums with a spicy hint in the background, dark berry confit, some liquorice and nougat. Full-bodied, complex, pronounced fruit, well-integrated tannins, fine nuances of red berries on the finish, harmonious, a multifaceted food wine with good ageing potential.
