The red wine Foggathal N°24, vintage 2018 from the winery Weinberghof Fritsch has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Merlot from the region Wagram in Austria.
Deep ruby with purple reflections and a delicate ochre rim. Dark fruits-of-the-forest confit, nuances of blackberry, cassis and liquorice, a tobacco-like herbal savouriness and subtle hints of precious wood. Juicy, with ripe red cherry and currants, the wine is elegant and balanced, fresh and persistent. It has reached a first drinking window.
