The red wine Cavas de Weinert Gran Vino, vintage 2006 from the winery Weinert has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser und Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot from the region Southern Mendoza in Argentina.
On the nose a hint of caramel, oak, cassis liqueur, eucalyptus pastilles, and also floral notes. On the palate powerful body with softly embedded grainy tannins, dense to chew, highly endowed with ethereal spice and fruit, impeccably ripe, restrained acidity, but still well-sustained, rich fruit, fleshy, good length, still compact and only beginning to unfold, showing great reserves on the finish, where acidity, substance and minerality are closely interwoven.
