Tasting Notes
Smoky wood, blackcurrant and beets. All still extremely young! In the mouth, the wine has an enormous density, but remains unobtrusive and harmonious in its proportions. The tannins are grainy and ripe, completely forward-looking. 20 years’ ageing potential, if not more.
More about the tastingCompact, powerful nose that opens slowly, cassis, blackberry, black cherry, tobacco savouriness, finely interwoven oak savouriness. Converts the warmth and power of the vintage into well nuanced complexity, enormous density and concentration, a wall of powerful and finely extracted tannins that one skips over with pleasure and which promises certain ageing potential. Still has plans.
