The white wine Reicholzheim Satzenberg Riesling trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Alte Grafschaft has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Baden in Germany.
Spices, notes of caraway, coriander and red apple. Juicy on the palate, full of tension, very mineral, also yeasty, full-bodied, with refined phenolics, good ageing potential, powerful and elegant.
More about the tastingOn the nose: lemon balm and blood orange, but also aniseed, gingerbread, honey and coriander seeds. The palate structure is characterised by a gripping but not coarse acidity, the wine flanks the structure with some texture and also with a pronounced spiciness. Pointed, dense finish, finally with clearly "stony" tones. An enigmatic Riesling, clearly marked by its terroir.
