Tasting Notes
Powerfully reductive on the nose, almond, richly coated with phenols on the palate, ripe acidity, dense, ambitiously vinified, subtle nerve, highly concentrated, full of potential. However, the fruit and aromas are currently in a deep sleep. One juror wrote: "slender, length, fine reduction", another: "nasty nose" - and drew a smiley face.
More about the tastingStrong yellow; delicate fruit on the nose, fine woody notes, hint of hazelnuts and wet stone; powerful attack, medium-bodied, present acidity, fine toasted notes, a hint of tannin; dry on the finish, with a slight bitter note. Still closed, perhaps still has room for improvement.
