It has a dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a subtle bright ochre rim. There are aromas of black wild berry fruit, with a hint of fine oak and vanilla, as well as dark cherry, and some nougat. It is juicy, elegant, with ripe cherry, fine tannins, chocolaty nuances, and good freshness. It is a multi-faceted and persistent food wine at its drinking peak.
