The red wine Assmannshausen Höllenberg Pinot Noir GG, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut August Kesseler has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 96+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
The nose opens with a hint of caramelised wood, followed above all by dark berry fruit of great freshness. On the palate the wine is generous and taut at the same time. Intense, tactile minerality counters the broad, muscular structure while the extremely dense tannins seem weightless.
