Tasting Notes
Smoke opens the nose, roasted coffee bean, matchwood, light and dark wild berries, brambly cherries, ink, graphite, juniper, sloe. Mineral on the palate, spicy-salty to the dark fruit, firm, fine-grained tannin structure and ripe acidity to the juicy base, dense, long and powerfully animating.
More about the tastingNot yet fully developed on the nose, yet quite insistent with notes of dark and red fruit, yeast and savoury wood notes, some juniper berry, ink and liquorice. Well and firmly built Burgundy varietal with a firm structure, juicy, blackcurrant, some sloe, salty and mineral-underlaid base, tightly woven tannins. Good length.
