The white wine »FG« Sonnenberg Grauburgunder VDP.Erste Lage, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Bernhart has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The golden yellow is enlivened by red colour pixels. Carried nose with fine smoke, melon, pear, quince, lightly roasted chestnuts, greenish walnut. Also carried on the palate with fullness and depth, soft in texture, the dense extract and finely-meshed phenolics provide thrust. Fine spice, the typical chalky minerality is the defining signature, long and talented with perspective.
