Tasting Notes
There are liquorice, quince bread, Assam pepper and some oaky notes on the nose. Dense on the palate, full of extract and power. The phenolics are somewhat astringent but well buffered, even plump and actually baroque – an orchestra at full volume. Will work with white fish.
More about the tastingLiquorice, some wood, quince bread, Assam pepper. The palate is dense, extract-laden, lots of power, the phenolics are a bit dry but well embedded, fat, "baroque, expansive, with bass, there's a tuba in there". With sole.
