The white wine Bingen Scharlachberg Riesling GG, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Bischel has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
There are liquorice, quince bread, Assam pepper and some oaky notes on the nose. Dense on the palate, full of extract and power. The phenolics are somewhat astringent but well buffered, even plump and actually baroque – an orchestra at full volume. Will work with white fish.
