The white wine Höhnstedt Buntsandstein Portugieser trocken, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Born has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points.
The vineyard stands on a steep slope. Plum, almond, cherry stone and also floral notes. On the palate there is a lot of juice and taut but not green tannins in a medium amount that fits the body, the fruit has complexity without becoming intrusive, the red sandstone minerality brings finesse. Completely coherent in its medium-weight nature.
