The red wine »1G« Veitshöchheim Sonnenschein Spätburgunder Erste Lage trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Bürgerspital has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
On the nose, smoky aromas, as well as wood spice, ripe red fruit: cherry, plum and raspberry, and some forest floor. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and voluminous, rather broad in structure and softly textural, with mature and still somewhat dominant tannins, good length.
