The white wine »1896« Longuich Maximin Herrenberg Riesling, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Carl Loewen has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 94+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
The vines, now almost 130 years old, the gentle pressing and aging in old wooden barrels result in a wine that shines on the nose with quiet elegance. The palate becomes far more expressive, enormously juicy, almost fine-grained, deep and very long. One of its kind.
