The white wine »Urbanus« Pinot Gris trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Clauß has been rated in 2017 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Those who expect the sweet and toasty spiciness and pronounced fruit of quince, melon and pear are wrong. Potato chips make this a bold, even fat wine. In fact its phenolic bitterness balances the rich texture perfectly.
