The red wine »Tiefrot vom roten Alabaster«, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Dobler has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon
A complex aroma: black cherry, tarry notes, herbal bitters, just a hint of wood. A carpet of very fine tannins unfolds on the palate, already beginning to mellow, the ripe acidity is well integrated, the alcohol content appears controlled, supple layers emphasise the impression of fullness. Tactile mineral components are not missing. Good length, good certain ageing potential.
