The sparkling wine Weisser Burgunder extra brut, vintage 2014 from the winery Weingut Dörflinger has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden in Germany.
It is restrained on the nose, with a delicate yeastiness, white blossom, and hay. On the palate it has a purist style, is straightforwardly built, with a gripping acidity, and is intense, but yet has a fine mousse. It is a vigorous food wine, and should even make a good match for oysters, and to everything else with which one drinks a blanc de blancs Champagne.
