The red wine Spätburgunder im Barrique gereift, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut F. J. Regnery has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Moselle in Germany.
This is intensely fragrant, with a Burgundy savouriness, herbal nuances, distinctive slate notes, as well as aromas of bay leaf, red berry, and juniper. On the palate it has strong fruit, well-integrated acidity, somewhat dry but phenolically ripe tannins, with a creamy base and a somewhat moderate fruit finish compared to the powerful tannins.
