The white wine »Farbton« Grauburgunder, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Familie Sauer has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
A light brick red with very light orange nuances. The nose shows very intense berry fruit - Mara del Bois and wild strawberries, plus some sweet cherry - and herbal notes, along with warm stone and damp terracotta. In the mouth, the wine has excellent proportions thanks to a supple underpinning built on fine, ripe phenolics. This is a very high-quality Pinot (half white, half red) that's made for the long haul, whose noble phenolic qualities will allow it to age for years.
