The white wine »Fassvollendung« Blanc, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Geiger has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grauburgunder
Subtle wood complements the fruit, notes ranging from candied orange to baked quince and dark berries. And there is also something peppery and savoury, reflective of the terroir. The palate creates a dense amalgam of acidity, fine phenolics, minerality and suppleness. There is concentration without heaviness. A versatile food companion with very good length.
