The white wine Sauvignon Blanc »Fumé« trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Georg Mosbacher has been rated in 2016 by Elisabeth Füngers, Michael Kutej, Mathias Mercier, Ulrich Sautter, Gerhard Retter, Carl-Dietrich Gless; with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose restrained, but with a hint of the complexity to come, grapefruit, mango, smoke, a hint of vanilla. The palate structure combines concentration and freshness, and despite density (and oak influence) the wine seems juicy, natural and light-hearted. A role model for unpretentious German sauvignons.
