It has a deep garnet colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. There is a dark cherry fruit aroma in the background, along with a lovely herbal savouriness, a delicate smokiness, and some dark chocolate. It is juicy, elegant, with an integrated tannin structure. It is light-footed and fresh, with red berry fruit on the finish, and some minerality on the back palate. It is an individual food wine.
