The white wine Pinot Blanc Barrique, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Gernot Schuhmann has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Pale yellow, green hints, silver reflections. On the nose, notes of ripe pear, underlaid with vanilla, delicate hints of candied mandarin zest and wood savouriness. Medium-bodied and juicy, with a fine acidic structure, savoury notes, hints of caramel and a subtle touch of yellow tropical fruit and nougat on the finish. Already approachable.
