The white wine Johannisberg Goldatzel Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Goldatzel has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Freshly grated orange peel, nougat, delicate yeasty notes and lime on the the nose. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied. The alcohol is somewhat more vivid than in other Spätlese wines due to the rather restrained sweetness, but sweetness and acidity harmonize well and the tactile mineral component is very pronounced. An individual, exciting gastronomic balance!
