The sweet and dessert wine Südtirol Gewürztraminer Spätlese Joseph DOC, vintage 2010 from the winery Weingut J. Hofstätter has been rated in 2012 with 90 - 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Gewürztraminer from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
A sparkling, rich rose gold color. A very intense nose, revealing notes of dried mango, a hint of cardamom, and a hint of roses in the background. Round and smooth on the palate, it builds nicely, with plenty of rich, sweet fruit; very well-balanced, with a lovely interplay between bitter and sweet on the finish.
