The red wine Südtirol Pinot Nero Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano DOC, vintage 2009 from the winery J. Hofstätter has been rated in 2012 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Clear ruby colour. Still quite restrained on the nose, some cherry and blackberry, opens up visibly in the glass, fine spices in the background. Multi-layered on the palate with a dense structure, still somewhat taut tannins, has a sweet core that will become more and more apparent as it matures, a wine to put down.
