The red wine Joanni IGT, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Josef Weger has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Rich, sparkling ruby-violet. Dense, fleshy nose with lots of dark berry fruit, intense and inviting, subtle hints of tobacco in the background. Sweet, melting fruit on the palate, full-bodied, lots of grippy tannins, good pressure on the finish.
